A Reason To Feel Even Better About Gummy Bear Breast Implants
After following over 55,000 breast implant patients in New York and elsewhere for over five years, a Washington, D.C.-based physician concluded that silicone implants are “very, very safe.”
Dr. Navin Singh’s study appeared in the journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Singh observed that many misgivings about silicone breast implants are rooted in a wave of 1990s hysteria that turned out to be 100 percent scientifically unsound. To completely assess their safety, Dr. Singh wanted to follow a large number of women for a very long time, because most breast implant complications are incredibly rare. His research not only determined Gummy Bear implants to be safe, he also encouraged women to see a doctor, because there are so many options available.
“Patients can now feel confident of the safety record behind silicone implants when making the decision on which implant is best for them,” he concluded.
The Safety of Natural Looking Breast Implants in New York
If silicone implants are safe, there are a number of reasons that Gummy Bear implants are even safer.
Very few breast implants rupture, and when they do, it’s often because the doctor overfills them with silicone or saline prior to implantation. That’s not possible with Gummy Bears, because these implants are pre-filled. The doctor simply needs to place them in the patient’s body, and there are very few people better qualified to perform this procedure than double-Board Certified Dr. Michael Fiorillo. He is a nationally-recognized speaker and writer who was one of the first New York plastic surgeons to embrace Gummy Bear implants. On a related note, most women now want smaller sized implants, so there is much less risk.
Next, there’s the Gummy Bear filling. It is a dense silicone gel that almost never leaks unless it is cut with a knife. Most implants leak because they fold and there is excess pressure on the weak spot. But Gummy Bear implants do not fold. For that reason, they look much more natural, and last much longer, than ordinary silicone implants.
Finally, largely because of their teardrop shape, Gummy Bear implants have a very strong shell that is almost impervious to wear and tear. So, no matter what stress is placed on the implants, they almost never give in.
